Makarska is located in the central part of the Adriatic coast of Croatia, between the cities of Split and Dubrovnik. Makarska, capital of the "Makarska Riviera" is considered one of the best resorts on the entire Croatian coast. Two mountainous promontory up to 1762 meters, reliably protect the bay from storms. Therefore, in the Bay of Makarska there are no high waves and strong winds.
The city is divided into two bays by Cape St. Peter. Resort area, beaches, hotels and shops along the beach promenade Marineta are located in western Bay. In eastern bay is the port and marinas.

However, the main pride of Makarska is the beaches that stretch along the perimeter of the coastline. They are considered ones of the best beaches in Croatia. There is also a wide range of water sports, everyone will you find something interesting. Due to its favorable geographical location, you can easily visit Dubrovnik and Split, and to get to Sumartin by the ferry.
